Comfortable, spacious place with a great rooftop terrace. Unassuming from the street, this house will steal your heart. Walk up a white marble staircase to be greeted by a whimsical sculpture by a local artist in the foyer. On one side, you can relax in a living room with 3 balconies, a grand library and a wood stove. On the other side is a formal yet intimate dining room with a bar. The master bedroom has a vast walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with JACUZZI for relaxation by moonlight! The space A typical turn-of-the-century Porteño house with exquisite woodwork, stained glass windows, tall ceilings (4.20 m), and lots of daylight and air. Renovated by an architect to carefully blend old and new, romantic and functional. We recently repainted the entire main floor. This house is over three floors. As such, this house is not for guests with mobility issues. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and large en suite bathroom with shower and jacuzzi and walk in closet. There is also a second complete bathroom on the top floor, and a toilet on the main floor. All new sheets and and comforters (Brooklinen) brought in from the USA. There is a new queen-size pull out couch in the living room. Two sets of French doors close the living room, ensuring privacy. New Samsung fridge with freezer, new Samsung microwave, dishwasher, and a Miele gas stove (6 burners). New Nespresso coffee maker and French press in a fully equipped kitchen. New LG top of the line washing machine in the laundry room, which is very large and opens onto the terrasse. Two small offices with desks and single-size couch/pull out beds can be used as bedrooms. One office is fully equipped for videoconferencing (light and camera). Lots of plants throughout the house and on the terrasse, which also has a full size parrilla. We live in this house 6-8 months a year. We have furnished it with attention and care. We expect our guests to respect it. It is truly unique! Guest access You will have to access to the whole house and terrasse (except one room we use for storage). There is another apartment below (on the ground floor) with a separate entrance. Other things to note This house is for adults only. Maximum 4 guests. There are many stairs in the house, which lends it a special charm but can be a challenge for some. This is a strictly non-smoking house. Smoking is not allowed inside the house, on the balconies, in the lightwell and on the terrasse
