Built in 1915, our fresh & bright 2-bedroom apartment is just steps from Plaza Dorrego. During the redesign, the kitchen and bathrooms were updated while the original industrial architectural characteristics stayed the same. Both bedrooms are upstairs. There are two bathrooms with showers. It's bright and ideally located in the heart of San Telmo, the most artistic and bohemian neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The space This two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is on the third floor of a working-class building. Four can sleep here, but please note that the guest bedroom has only two twin beds and it is in a loft space that opens up onto the living room. Sometimes there will be light coming in from the hallways and if anyone is still hanging out downstairs, those in this bedroom won't sleep soundly. We think the apartment is best suited for a couple or a small family. Additionally, we like to point out that the ceilings are very low upstairs so anyone over 1.7 meters or 5'7" will have to be careful in some spots. Both bathrooms have showers; the do not have tubs (the jacuzzi does not work in the upstairs bathroom and there is not enough hot water to fill the tub up). The windows are double-paned, but you will still hear noise from Plaza Dorrego. It's muffled noise. It's often tango music. Those who are very sensitive to city sounds will likely be bothered. On Saturday night and on Sunday mornings as the vendors set up for the San Telmo Antiques fair, there is more noise. Please ask us any questions you have. We are happy to help. The living area downstairs is spacious and comfy. Open the French doors to watch the tango dancers in the plaza, gaze above the antique fair on Sundays, check out the cool rooftops of San Telmo and see if you can guess which building is the oldest.
