Beautiful light-filled 3 story 2BR condo in the heart of San Telmo. On calle Chile just 1.5 blocks off of Defensa, it is a tranquil space but near the action: the sunday market, nightlife, tango and more. Recently renovated and repainted in June 2023 (pictured). (Also new beds, furniture, stove and more not yet pictured) The space It is a great apartment, as it is our family's vacation spot. Great location, mucho light, unique layout, a modern kitchen, patio, terraza, etc. If you are familiar with San Telmo you might know Bolivar and Chile is 1.5 blocks off of Defensa, the major artery through this historic neighborhood. Also a good friend of the family, Graciela Sandoval, lives just a few blocks away and she manages the place for us very dependably, efficiently and promptly (uncommon features in Buenos Aires). She speaks little english but manages to communicate with people quite well and I actually learned Spanish while living with her in San Telmo from about 2005. She is incredibly friendly and helpful both in terms of anything related to the apartment but also in terms of having a local on hand to help with other aspects of your stay. Located in the heart of San Telmo, a short walk to Ave. Independencia, Defensa (the Sunday Market), Paseo Colon and more. Instead of a vertical subdivision like in a conventional hi-rise, this condo claims its own footprint, from its own ground-floor entrance, living area, kitchen and private patio, to the second floor principal bedroom and bathroom, and to the 3rd floor second bedroom and private terrace. The place is surprisingly quiet even though the building is in the middle of an area which bustles all night long with restaurants, bars, night-clubs, shows, live music and of course tango. Absolutely NO SMOKING in the apartment. Parties are also strictly prohibited. Pets are only accepted on a case by case basis and with prior approval and the corresponding pet fee. Dogs are strictly prohibited. Please note that the rental cost includes a fee for the final cleaning only. If you are staying longer than a week and would like a full weekly cleaning with towels and sheets changed and cleaned, it can be arranged directly with Graciela for USD$25 per cleaning paid directly to her.
